Merval edges down slightly by 0.03%

The panel of leading stocks index edged down to 3,537.06 points falling 0.03% since its previous close, climbing 2.23% throughout the week.

Argentina's country-risk meanwhile declined 1.9 percent to 527 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The American currency traded for ARS$4.05/ARS$4.01 with no change to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.

The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance edged up 0.5 percent to 68,066.82 points. It has fallen 2.2% this year.
