BAPRO robbery: Prosecutor denies releases
Prosecutor Martín Niklison rejected the release request of six of the seven detained on the BAPRO provincial bank robbery, which occurred in Belgrano neighbourhood, and exempted from prison a driver from the financial entity, who is accused of being part of the gang.
The prosecutor’s decision to exempt the chauffer Adrián Castillo will now be analyzed by Judge María Gabriela Lanz, who has attributed the crimes of illegal association and robbery to the other six detained.
Earlier, a seventh man was arrested in a hotel in the town of Villa Carlos Paz in Córdoba in conjunction with the robbery occurred on January 2.
The robbery which took place in January happened over the course of a few days and 143 security deposit boxes were stolen from. The total number of those arrested in connection with the case is now seven.
