Argentina calls for a ‘peaceful transition to democracy’ in Egypt
Argentina’s Foreign Ministry released a communiqué after Hosni Mubarak’s resignation as Egypt’s President which stated the Argentine people wished that the Egyptians can have a peaceful and tranquil transition to democracy based in human rights.
It also stated that the transition should be made according to the Egyptian society’s will, which has been made clear during the last weeks.
Mubarak stepped down after 30 years of administration and 18 days of massive protests in the streets of Egypt that left hundreds of deaths.
