'I liked Boca's Tevez,' Batista

Argentina’s national football team coach Sergio Batista during a press conference.

Argentina’s national football team coach Sergio Batista gave a press conference in the framework of the friendly match between Argentina and Portugal and left Carlos Tevez out of his priorities. “There’s a wind of change in the team,” the coach assured.

“I liked Boca’s Tevez. I don’t have any kind of personal problem with him,” Batista assured when he was asked about the absence of the striker of the Manchester City in the line-ups for tomorrow’s match.

“When I was not summoned to be part of the national team, I checked things,” the winner of the Mexico 86 World Cup said.

Meanwhile, the coach affirmed that the new project will lead to an important renovation. “It’s time to see new things,” he said referring to the next calling of players.

Batista also left Gabriel Heinze, Sergio Agüero and Martín Demichelis out of the list.
