Shoot-out with police, one dead, another injured in Parque Avellaneda area

A man has been killed, and another severely injured, when a shoot-out began between criminals and police, as a robbery attempt on a Fiat car garage was being followed up, after a 911 call was made in the Parque Avellaneda neighbourhood.

According to police sources the shooting was extended from the door of the garage to 150m in front of the building, causing two of the criminals to fall wounded, while a third made an attempt to flee.

The robbery occurred at around 7.30AM when three delinquents entered the Fiat garage along Lasalle and Monte Carballo. An employee disclosed that the group only took money when they carried out the theft.

After the shoot-out, one of the criminals died of his wounds, while the other was taken to hospital in a critical condition. It has been disclosed that the men were armed.
