López case: excavations start in La Plata

Jorge Juilo Lopez family’s lawyer, Alfredo Gastón Cotti, praised the promptness shown by both the Judiciary and Police authorities after the surprising appearance of an unidentified informant, who stated to know about the builder’s whereabouts. Excavation works will start today.

“They reacted rapidly and took all necessary steps in order to follow the informant’s statement.”

The lawyer also referred to the family’s expectations “well, they are highly excited about the whole thing, which is pretty normal.”

Likewise, Cotti indicated that according to the informant’s testimony, “there are eight sectors to be excavated within the Iraola Park area.”

The Argentine Forensic Anthropology Team (EAAF in Spanish) will start digging today at a sector located right next to the Iraola Pereyra train station. Meanwhile, outsourced railworkers of the ex General Julio A. Roca train line are weeding out the area.
