'Brazil and Argentina were united before, now the bond is even stronger,' CFK
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner declared that Argentina and Brazil strengthened their relationship following agreements signed yesterday with Dilma Rousseff. She said that ‘Brazil and Argentina were united before, but now the bond is even stronger’.
The statements were made following Rousseff’s first visit to Argentina since she began her presidency in January. She furthered that, “this kind of relationship is exactly what the both of us want,” through tweets on social network Twitter.
She went on to say that during Rousseff’s visit yesterday, “there were many meetings in which many agreements were made, which will be followed up and turned into solid actions”.
The presidents sat together for a two-hour meeting in the Government House, in which they signed a joint declaration that re-iterated the strategic relationship between the countries. They then got through 14 agreements, those of nuclear, economic, energy, and border issues amongst others.
