Merval on the rise while Bovespa edges up
The panel of leading stocks index increases 0.3 percent to 3,594.11 points.
The Boden 2015 gains 0.5 percent; Boden 2012, 0.8 percent; whereas Pro13 falls 0.8 percent; peso-denominated Discount, 2.3 percent.
Argentina's country-risk meanwhile climbs 1.8 percent to 547 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance increases 0.6 percent to 67,112.38 points.
It has dropped 3.2 percent so far in 2011.
The US currency traded for $4.025/$3.98 pesos, increased 0.05 cent compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.
