Methods of protest from some workers 'not rational,' Tomada

Labour Minister, Carlos Tomada

Labour Minister Carlos Tomada spoke about the way in which some trade union workers protest, in particular outsourced workers, saying that their methods are "not very rational”. He continued to defend the department in terms of conflict management.

“The methods of protest coming from some of the workers are not rational, especially when we have publically shown our intentions to find solutions,” mentioned Tomada, with reference to the outsourced workers from ex-Roca train line.

With regard to the subway workers who began to make requests for higher travel allowances, Tomada mentioned that “the conflict is now over and we are going to maintain talks, but assuring there will be no cuts or delays placed on the service.”

He went on to say that “to put the service on strike indefinitely does not make any sense."
