CFK postpones ceremony in El Calafate to attend late husband's private memorial
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner decided to postpone the opening ceremony of a water purification plant she was expected to attend to tomorrow until Friday, although she confirmed that she would fly to Río Gallegos on Thursday in order to attend a private memorial service on the day of the three-month anniversary of her husband’s death.
According to sources within the government, Mrs. Fernández de Kirchner would fly to El Calafate tomorrow, although she would first make a stop in the city of Santa Cruz, where her husbands remains are buried since he passed away last October 27th.
The ceremony at the water purification plant is now scheduled to take place on Friday at 7 pm, according to government officials.
