Fiscal surplus grows 45% in 2010, Boudou

Economy Minister Amado Boudou reported that the fiscal surplus in 2010 hit 25.08 billion pesos (6.05 billion dollars) and rose 45 percent compared to the volume registered during the previous year.

In December, the country registered a primary deficit of 2.2 billion pesos compared to a 5.07 billion pesos surplus during the last month of 2009.

The primary surplus does not include the debt payment.

Besides, the Minister affirmed during a press conference that the government estimates that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew 9 percent in 2010.
