CFK's Middle East tour 'created possibilities that were previously unheard of,' Timerman
Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman assured that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s visit to the Middle East “is very important, because we’ve paved the road for possibilities that were previously unheard of.” He also announced the creation of five new offices in the Ministry that would be aimed at trade negotiations with non-traditional markets.
“I’m extremely satisfied with this visit. Argentine businessmen made some very good business and made some very important export deals,” he explained.
The Deputy Secretary of Investments also traveled with him as part of the government’s official delegation.
“Being named a strategic country for investments by both Qatar and Kuwait is very important for our country,” he said.
He highlighted the importance of the relationship “between the private and public sector,” and repeated that everyone in the delegation “is very happy because very important deals have been signed, which could create big revenue in the country.”
Mr. Timerman also announced he had decided to create five new offices in the Ministry, which would deal with negotiations with non-traditional markets.
“In my opinion, that’s where the future of our country lies,” he said.
