Merval falls slightly as Bovespa rises
The panel of leading stocks index declined 0.1 percent to 3,539.06 points.
It has gained 0.4 percent so far in 2011.
The US currency traded for $4.005/$3.97 pesos, remaining unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.
The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance increased 0.3 percent to 70,940.25 points.
