Merval posts modest loss as Bovespa rises slightly
The panel of leading stocks index declined 0.24 percent to 3,604.80 points.
Argentina's country-risk meanwhile fell 5.01 percent to 455 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
The US currency traded for $4.010/$3.97 pesos, remains unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.
Brazil's main stock market's average performance went up 1.1 percent, hitting 71,091.03 points.
