Gov’t reevaluating Edesur contract after blackouts
Mr. De Vido explained “there was no apparent cause” for the blackouts since “there’s no such thing as an energy shortage” and once again blasted the three main energy companies.
He ratified fines would go up to $70 million because “contracts are crystal clear when it comes to blackouts affecting industrial or residential areas.”
Edesur will be the one dealing with the largest fine since “60 or 70 percent of the blackouts came from them.”
“We will reevaluate their contract with us and see what the chances of cancellation are, in case there are any,” he concluded.
