One dead after a clash between neighbours in Villa 31 slum

The SAME emergency medical assistance service confirmed that a man died and another one was injured in the Villa 31 bis slum after two groups clashed.

Police sources said the clash begun near the bus station in Retiro neighbourhood.

The man killed has been identified as 30-year-old Paulino Servián, from Paraguay, who was shot in the neck, while the injured man, 45-year-old Raúl Leguisa, was transferred to th Fernández Hospital.

When he was transferred, Leguisa told authorities he had nothing to do with the crime and that he was left in the middle of the fight between the Villa 31 bis slum neighbours.

Meanwhile, investigators say the clash might have been produced after a harsh incident between two groups of the slum. They are also investigating if the fight was linked to a dispute over a plot of land.
