Merval rises; local bonds mixed

The panel of leading stocks index increased 0.02 percent to 3,523.59 points. It has soared 51.4 percent so far in 2010.

The Boden 2012 gained 0.5 percent; GDP-linked warrant, 2 percent; whereas Boden 2015 dropped 0.4 percent.

Argentina's country-risk meanwhile declined 0.41 percent to 486 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance gained 0.51 percent to 69,304.81 points.

It has increased 2.4 percent in December. However, it has dropped 1.1 percent so far in 2010.

Meanwhile, the US dollar declined 0.9 percent to R$1.665 on the local spot market.

The US currency traded for $4.01/$3.97, remains unchanged compared to the previous closing price in the main banks and foreign exchange houses in Buenos Aires downtown.

Meanwhile, the euro increased three cents to $5.29/$5.19.
