Merval rises slightly as Bovespa falls

The panel of leading stocks index rose 0.96 percent to 3,476.26 points.

The Boden 2015 bond increased 0.5 percent; Bonar 2015, 0.6 percent; peso-denominated Discount bond, 1.7 percent; GDP-linked warrant, 1 percent.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk declined 0.78 percent to 510 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.

The main indicator of the Brazilian stock market's average performance increased 0.38 percent to 68,470.76 points.

It has increased 0.2 percent in December. However, it has dropped 1 percent so far in 2010.

Meanwhile, the US dollar gained 0.05 percent to R$1.699 on the local spot market.
