Police 'to enforce eviction of Club Albariño' site if court order approved, city gov't warns
If the pending court order disputing the land occupied in Villa Lugano, on the sport club grounds, is approved, "the Federal Police is to take action to clear out the premises", stated the City government.
"The State must take action", asserted Cabinet Chief, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta when he spoke about the matter surrounding the violence in the area.
It has also been uncovered that city Mayor, Mauricio Macri mentioned that the squatters on the Albariño grounds are "more violent" than those who overtook the Indo-Americano Park in the Villa Soldati neighbourhood a week ago.
Illegal incumbents of the sports ground came up against a group of angry residents from neighbouring area Villa Lugano, as they tried to enforce the clearing of the land through the use of violent measures.
The fact that squatters had built temporary homes on the land and installed themselves close to the boundaries of Villa Lugano on day five of the land occupation, angered neighbours even more. It caused them to protest last night along the outskirts of the area cutting off the Dellepiane motorway where it meets with Larrazábal Avenue. This proceeded to provoke various traffic delays.
