Cabinet Chief Aníbal Fernández gave a press conference in company of Justice Minister Julio Alak and made opposition factions responsible for the attacks to the Border Guard members that are fencing the Parque Indoamericano in Villa Soldati.
Fernández showed footages of the attacks conducted by a group of picketers against Border Guard troopers, and revealed that 14 officers were injured, one of them shot in the back with a home-made fire gun.
Thus, Cabinet Chief accused "extremist groups" for the attacks.
"These attacks are encouraged by political leaders from both the BA City and the Greater Buenos Aires", Fernández said and aimed to Buenos Aires City Education Minister Abel Posse to whom the minister referred as a "fascist."
The minister also warned that "these kinds of clashes are not something new. They always happen around Christmas time. There is people working behind this and seeking to create a state of chaos. They've done this before."
Fernández once more charged against City Mayor Mauricio Macri for his "racist comments", and also had some words for former caretaker president Eduardo Duhalde, who had recently said during an open class at Harvard University that order and stronger security measures is what Argentina needs. The Cabinet Chief said that Duhalde's comments "are not the kind of ones heard in a democratic system."
