A flooded street is seen in Salto, a city on the Uruguay River, in northwestern Uruguay on the border with Argentina. Thousands of people have had to leave their homes in the region after heavy rains caused flooding. In Salto alone, more than 2,000 people have been forced to flee. On the Argentine side of the border, more than 3,000 people have been evacuated in Entre Ríos.
