Aníbal F.: Máximo Kirchner received same virus as Lanata
Cabinet chief Aníbal Fernández has revealed that Máximo Kirchner was sent the same computer virus that journalist Jorge Lanata received, which was also found in the mobile phone of late prosecutor Alberto Nisman.
"Today Máximo sent me a screenshot of his computer and it was also sent to him," the candidate for Buenos Aires governor told C5N, playing down claims by Lanata that he had been spied on through the virus.
Mocking the claims made by the journalist, Aníbal dismissed the severity of the program: "The virus is not a virus, it is a rash."
On his television show broadcast last Sunday on Channel 13, Lanata had attempted to link his case with that of Nisman, who was found dead in January.
"The same day that Nisman's mobile phone was infiltrated by a spy program, my computer was as well. It would not be strange to think that the two cases were carried out by the same cell of the security services," he said during the programme.
