Gov't assures Monte Hermoso incidents were 'instigated'

Cabinet Chief and Buenos Aires Governor hopeful Aníbal Fernández today assured that the violent incidents registered in the coastal city of Monte Hermoso after a young woman was found dead were “instigated.”

Soon after Catherine Moscoso’s body was found dead after being declared missing, Monte Hermoso citizens set the local police station on fire, as well as cars, the city hall, and the house of a local politician.

For the head of ministers, the incidents “were not circumstantial” but “instigated” taking advantage of the citizens’ anger.

“There have been four arrested due to the incidents, one of them, named Sánchez, is a mayor candidate within the Renewal Front,” Aníbal Fernández stated.

Buenos Aires province Justice Minister, Ricardo Casal, informed yesterday “there are videos showing people carrying gasoline cans. There was a huge damage to the public and private patrimony.”
