Air-traffic controllers have lifted a protest action that had been carrying out since 7 am today, resuming their activities and allowing flights to return to normal in the Buenos Aires City Jorge Newbery Airport. Still, delays and reprogramming of flights were expected to continue as a result of the “domino effect” caused by the 3-hour walkout.

According to airport sources, 26 flights were canceled after air-traffic controllers responding to the Association of State Workers (ATE) union launched a series of assemblies today, demanding Air Force to not intervene in the activities of workers in charge of running the control tower.

Companies operating in the BA City airport were requesting passengers to check on their websites or contact their call centers to get further information.
