US documentary director Michael Moore has recommended his Twitter fans to watch the Argentine film ‘Wild Tales’, which was nominated for Best Foreign Picture in the last Oscar Awards.

“Congratulations to Ida,” Moore said, in reference to the Polish movie that finally won the category, and added: “You must go see ‘Wild Tales’, one of the funniest/darkest films I saw this year.”

The film directed by Damián Szifrón opened in US theatres last Friday, two days before the Academy Awards.

‘Wild Tales’ has become the most successful Argentine film in history, having sold over 7 million tickets world wide, and received outstanding reviews in the United States.

The movie tells six short stories that dwell in the drama/dark comedy tradition, and counts with a cast composed by iconic Argentine actors such as Ricardo Darín, Oscar Martínez, Leonardo Sbaraglia and Darío Grandinetti, together with Érica Rivas, Rita Cortese and Julieta Zylberberg.
