Majority of banks reach agreement, workers receive salary bonus

The Bank Association, organization which integrates the majority of workers from that sector has announced it reached an agreement, and therefore the 48 hours strike announced earlier today will only contemplated Banco Nacion, Banco Central and Caja de Tucumán.

“Most of the ABAPPRA banks signed the agreement,” the entity affirmed via an official press release, while detailing the clauses of the deal.

Bank workers will obtain the so called ‘end-year bonus’ of 7500 pesos during the first days of January.

The monetary entities that continue with the strike measure are those who did not signed the agreement yet, and they will continue with the protest until the weekend.

Earlier today, Asociación Bancaria union announced a 48-hour strike for public banks across the country, demanding the payment of a 7,500-pesos wage bonus that has already been paid to workers of private banks.
