‘There will be no future for us if we continue fighting with everyone’, Macri says

‘There will be no future for us if we continue fighting with everyone’, BA City Mayor Mauricio Macri said.

Buenos Aires City Mayor, Mauricio Macri questioned President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s foreign policy today, and warned that “we can’t continue fighting with everyone.”

Macri’s comments came as a reaction for Fernández de Kirchner’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly last Wednesday, where she criticized the so called vulture funds by comparing them with terrorists, and doubted the effectiveness of a US intervention in Iraq and Syria.

‘There will be no future for us if we continue fighting with everyone’, he argued, while explaining that “in first place, we are fighting between us, leaving a small capacity for dialogue, but in addition, we go out and fight with the US, Germany [and local] Jewish community. That's not the way,” Macri concluded.

On Friday, US Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta Jacobson, admitted relations between Argentina and the United States are “in a tough period.”
