Anti-government CGT splinter leader Hugo Moyano and Blue and White CGT head Luis Barrionuevo have decided to postpone any possible industrial action expected in October following President Cristina Kirchner’s accusations against Barrionuevo, who last week said the country would “fly through the air” while heading to the end of the year.

Both CGT’s agreed to meet on September 25 with 72 union representatives and summon a general meeting for October 7th to decide on future measures.

A strike was expected to be announced toay, when they met at the Teamster’s union Buenos Aires city headquarters in Constitución neighbourhood.

“What [President Fernández de Kirchner] said are lies. They are assuming the place of the victim, but they are the victimizers,” the leader of the Rural Workers' union, Gerónimo "Momo" Venegas, commented after the meeting today over CFK’s statements.

Barrionuevo has been summoned by a Mar del Plata prosecutor for his sayings, after the President denounced the aggressiveness and politically destabilizing nature of his "forecasts".
