Israel beats Argentina in Davis Cup doubles, leads series 2-1

Doubles pair Federico Delbonis and Horacio Zeballos play against Israel at Sunrise tennis club in Sunrise, Florida, US for Davis Cup World Group permanence.

Doubles pair Federico Delbonis and Horacio Zeballos could not take Israeli doubles Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, who beat the Argentine couple 3 sets to 2 in a Davis Cup World Group permanence match held in Sunrise City, Florida, in the US. Israel now leads the series 2-1.

Yesterday, Carlos Berlocq could lost to Israeli first singles Dudi Sela 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 and 6-2. With the win, Israel had tied the series 1-1, as Leonardo Mayer had beat Bar Bozter in 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 and 6-1 earlier.

Tomorrow, Berlocq will play Bar Bozter and Leonardo Mayer will face Dudi Sela to settle the series and define which team plays next year in the Davis Cup World Group.

The series is being played in the Florida city of Sunrise in the US, as Israel was denied the Tel Aviv venue by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) due to the conflict over the Gaza strip.
