Capitanich to brief the Lower House tomorrow
Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich will attend the Congress’ Lower House tomorrow to brief lawmakers on the federal government’s actions, in compliance with article 101 of the National Constitution.
The briefing is scheduled to start at 11 am and the official is expected to discuss the Sovereign Debt Payment bill and the reform to the Supply Law pushed by the Executive.
Capitanich has urged lawmakers to “be there to respectfully discuss this matters” and complained of the lack of a “serious debate” among opposition parties.
On his last briefings, the sessions were only attended by Victory Front’s and allied lawmakers, since the majority of opposition blocs left the floor to protests against previous briefings devoted entirely to issues that “only matter to Kirchnerists”.
This will be the third time Capitanich addresses the Lower House since he assumed as chief of ministers. He has briefed the Senate three times already.
