FIBA World Cup: Argentina beat Philippines in agonising finish
The national basketball team beat the Philippines 85-81 in an agonising Group B third game in FIBA World Coup and is now in the Round-of-16.
After being on the ropes for nearly three quarters, the team coached by Julio Lamas managed to win by four points, in a very close game.
Following a great start at the World Cup beating Puerto Rico by 98-78, and after losing 90-85 to Croatia yesterday, Argentina has added a much needed victory.
The team will rest tomorrow and play its fourth game on Wednesday against Senegal.
