Sobrero rejects Randazzo’s accusation over Sarmiento vandalism
Railway union delegate Rubén Sobrero has rejected Transport and Interior minister Florencio Randazzo’s vandalism charges saying they are a “maneuver” aimed at “distracting attention from today’s successful national strike.”
“It’s ridiculous. It’s a maneuver to distract attention from the strike. There is no video that shows people throwing the garbage inside the wagons,” Sobrero told reporters.
Earlier, Randazzo blamed two unionists that respond to the Fraternidad union for the vandalism on the Sarmiento railway line during today’s national strike, while announcing that criminal charges were filed.
He showed a video of a supposed railway unionist and Sobrero supporter with a garbage bag near the train.
Sobrero calmly dismissed the charges. “Do you know how many accusations have been issued against us? They can do whatever they want,” he said.
