“I just want peace”, says mother of 4 –year-old Daniel Tregerman
After the death of her four –year-old son Daniel, Gila Tregerman called today for a peaceful solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and stated “I just want peace,” during a phone conversation with the BuenosAiresHerald.com.
Mrs. Tregerman added her son was the victim of “an unnecessary war,” in a short statement which included her will to end the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.
Ronit Minaker, close friend of the family and spokesperson of the area where the tragedy took place, revealed Doron Tregerman’s family (father of Daniel) are Argentines from Buenos Aires, including the two grandparents, Paulina and Marcelo.
“The only ones who can reach an agreement which will bring peace to both parts are our leaders, and I hope they will have the courage to make a deal which will allow a normal life for children like Daniel,” she told the BuenosAiresHerald.com.
Daniel was killed by ricochets of a mortar launched from the Gaza Strip, under control of the Palestinian organization Hamas.
So far the struggle between the two parts took the life of 64 Israeli soldiers and more than 2000 Palestinians.
