Gascoigne found drunk outside home, offered help
After being found drunk outside his home earlier this week, ex England international Paul Gascoigne was offered a job at QPR by Harry Redknapp.
Redknapp made an open invitation to the ex football idol to coach the youth team at QPR, a chance to beat alcohol demons which he has been battling ever since retiring from the game.
Earlier in the week, the former Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Lazio, Rangers, Middlesbrough and Everton midfielder was pictured outside his home drunk. Gascoigne was reportedly taken to hospital for treatment.
According to British media, paramedics and police were called to Gascoigne’s rented apartment in Sandbanks, Dorset and found him “slumped on the ground holding a bottle of vodka.”
News reports also claim the former football star is facing eviction from the property he currently rents with neighbours recently complaining of the noise.
