Road crash tragedy for Pope's relatives, 3 killed
A nephew of Argentine Pope Francis got involved in a tragic road accident today’s early morning with his wife and two children resulting killed. Emanuel Horacio Bergoglio, the son of the pontiff’s late brother, Alberto Bergoglio, suffered serious injuries.
According to first reports, Emanuel’s car crashed against a truck in the highway connecting the cities of Córdoba in the Córdoba province and of Rosario in the province of Santa Fe.
Due to the high-impact collision, Emanuel’s wife and little children – aged two and eight months respectively -, lost their lives.
Argentina's Jorge Mario Bergolio was appointed head of the Roman Catholic Church last year becoming the first Latin American pontiff in history to lead the world's 1.2 billion Catholics.
