Mediator Pollack: ‘I will conduct further negotiations until a solution is reached’
Special Master appointed by US judge Thomas Griesa, Daniel A. Pollack, said today his intention is to “conduct further negotiations until a solution is reached”.
“Pursuant to the direction of the Court, I have continued to work to find a solution to the issues that divide the parties,” a press release signed by Pollack reads.
“As I have indicated, it is my intention to convene and conduct further negotiations until a solution is reached, however long that may take,” it concludes.
Argentina criticized Pollack as it considered he was not impartial during negotiations and favored holdout creditors instead, but New York district judge Griesa confirmed him as mediator and urged the South American country to continue talks with holdouts under his conduction.
