Subte workers to strike tomorrow for two hours
The Subte and Premetro Workers Association (AGTSyP) announced today all six subte lines and the premetro will go on strike tomorrow between 5pm and 7pm.
AGTSyP representatives denounced during a press conference promised box office safety measures have not yet been taken, and a discount of between 3 and 4 thousand pesos on usher’s salaries has become effective.
“We have no alternative but to go on strike because authorities are messing directly with our pockets,” head of the AGTSyP Roberto Pianelli told reporters.
The measure became public hours later the Buenos Aires City administration announced it is considering to rise the subte ticket price from 5 to 6 pesos from December 2014.
