VP Boudou attends Santos inauguration

Vicepresident Amado Boudou arrives in Bogotá for President Juan Manuel Santos inauguration ceremony.

Following the controversial session he presided at the Senate yesterday, with opposition blocs walking out of the chamber in protest against his presence, Vicepresident Amado Boudou travelled to Colombia to attend President Juan Manuel Santos’ inauguration ceremony.

“We greet President Santos and the Colombian people in the name of Argentina and President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner,” Boudou told reporters at his arrival in Bogotá.

“This [ceremony] is very important because it has to do with moving forward with the integration of our continent, of our people,” he said.

National lawmakers Rodolfo Urtubey, Sigrid Kunath and Daniel Pérsico joined the Argentine delegation.
