Criminal Court N°24 has resolved to release members of rock band Callejeros, who were held criminally responsible and found guilty of negligence for the tragic fire in “República de Cromañón” club, which took the lives of 194 people in December 2004.

Patricio Fontanet, Christian Eleazar Torrejón, Juan Alberto Carbone, Maximiliano Djerfy and Elio Rodrigo Delgado will be released from Ezeiza jail today, as well as former Callejeros manager Diego Argañaraz, band lawyer Nicolás D`Albora told reporters.

Callejeros drummer Eduardo Vázquez is not to be released as he also serves life sentence for the murder of his wife Wanda Taddei.

Last week, the Supreme Court ordered to revise the sentence made by the Criminal Appeals Court in April 2011, which condemned Callejeros band members, who were first absolved during oral trials.

Club owner Omar Chabán’s right hand man Raúl Villarreal and two former Buenos Aires City officials have also been released.
