Scioli visits Villa 21, warns Macri: ‘This is also Buenos Aires City’
Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli visited today the Villa 21-24 shanty town in the Buenos Aires City neighbourhood of Barracas as part of his political campaign towards the 2015 presidential elections, claiming “other parts of the city need to be taken into account.”
“We show Buenos Aires City’s other reality, the one frequently forgotten by authorities,” Scioli told reporters while highlighting “heavy contrasts in the Riachuelo river.”
“On one side, the Province, on the other side, the City, where very little is being done to prevent health problems, to lower contamination levels, to promote social inclusion.”
“This is also BA City,” the governor warned. “It’s a very sensible moment for the country. We need to be aware of the capital importance of social inclusion and integration,” he added.
