Cold weather continues across the country
The cold wave from the Antartica that began last week, putting an end to spring-like weather, continues today with below-zero temperatures in 10 Argentine provinces.
The National Weather Service (SMN) reported below-zero temperatures in the provinces of Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Jujuy, Río Negro, Chubut, Buenos Aires, San Juan, Salta, Mendoza and Santiago del Estero at 7 a.m. today.
Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, set the record with the lowest temperature, -10.1 C°.
Meanwhile, Buenos Aires province’s lowest was reported in Tandil, with -5 C° at 7 a.m. today.
The SMN expects the cold wave to continue until Tuesday, when temperatures will rise to 10 - 18 C°.
