Mónaco beats Haase, advances to Gstaad final

Argentine tennis player Juan Mónaco.

Argentine tennis player Juan Mónaco today beat Dutch Robin Haase 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) and will tomorrow fight Spaniard Pablo Andújar for the ATP Gstaad tittle.

The Tandil born player, ranked 105 in the ATP World ranking, eliminated Haase in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Mónaco will play his first final in a year, since he lost to Spanish Marcel Granollers in the Kitzbuhel final in mid 2013.

The Argentine player will re enter the ATP top 100 on Monday between the 88th and 90th position if he loses. If he wins, he could move up seven more positions.

Mónaco left the top-100 this month for the first time since 2006.
