US dollar steady at 8.19 pesos; 'blue' rises

The so called "blue" dollar that trades in the informal market was higher today and closed at 12.60 pesos as investors awaited the outcome of ongoing negotiations between Argentina and vulture funds in New York.

The blue-chip swap rate dropped 13 cents to 9.80 pesos and the stock exchange rate rose 25 cents to 11.49 pesos.

Meanwhile, the official rate remained unchanged compared to yesterday, closing at 8.19 pesos.
