Cold weather back after spring-like temperatures
A cold wave from the Antartica has put an end to the spring-like weather Argentineans enjoyed in the past days. The National Weather Service (SMN) reported low temperatures and strong winds nationwide and snowfalls in the Patagonian region.
“A cold air mass is to arrive today through the center and south of the Patagonian region, causing a noticeable temperature decrease, intense winds from the southeast and a very low windchill factor, with snowfalls of different intensities, specially in Tierra del Fuego province,” the SMN said in a report. “A second cold air mass will arrive in the Patagonian region on Thursday,” it adds.
Temperature drops in the country’s central provinces began this morning and will intensify by Friday night, with the arrival of the second cold air mass, the SMN forecasted.
