Buenos Aires governor, Daniel Scioli visited today Vaca Muerta shale gas deposit in Nequén province, where he met with his par Jorge Sapag and YPF CEO Miguel Galuccio.

“YPF is leading the non-conventional hydrocarbons sector in the country thanks to its work,” Scioli affirmed, as he walked through the gas field accompanied by Oil and Gas unionist leader and senator Guillermo Pereyra.

“[YPF] is a world class company and we should all be proud,” Scioli remarked, while adding there must be “a national conscience regarding this state policy, because Vaca Muerta has a positive influence not only in Nequén, but in Buenos Aires province, and there rest of the country as well.”

Governor Sapag emphasized YPF high production levels in past 18 months, and he estimated total investment will reach the figure of “2.8 billion dollars until the end of this year.”
