Primary fiscal surplus grows 84.5% in May
Argentina’s primary fiscal surplus reached 3.08 billion pesos in May, representing an increase of 84 percent over the same month a year earlier, the Economy Ministry revealed today on its website.
Last year, the country ended with a fiscal deficit of 22.4 billion pesos (2.7 billion dollars).
The 2014 Budget set a fiscal surplus of 2.59 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which represents 83.8 billion pesos, or 10.2 billion dollars.
