Two killed in shooting at Washington medical center
A Spokane, Washington clinic was shaken today by a shooting that claimed two lives, allegedly following a domestic dispute at the health center.
According to reports, a gunman opened fire and killed his wife who reportedly worked at the Rockwood cancer located in downtown Spokane. He then turned the gun on himself. Two have been reported dead.
Local news outlet KREM revealed that an employee of the clinic called emergency services at around 9.30am local time to report the shooting. Other sources told that a man walked into a lab area and shot a woman, with between four and six shots heard by witnesses.
Spokane Police officials said the shooting appeared to be domestic violence-related. The female victim worked at the hospital, according to authorities.
The shooting was reported on the 7th floor. Police said officers shut down the area where the shooting occurred. Otherwise, access to the building was not restricted, officials said.
