CFK advised to rest up to Independence Day
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, forced to call off all official activities last week following a "pharyngeal laryngitis condition", has been advised by the presidential medical team to remain at Olivos Presidential Palace up to Wednesday, missing Independence Day celebrations.
“Preventively, she should remain at Olivos Presidential Palace up to Wednesday, July 9,” said the Presidential Medical Unit in a press release. Following the medics orders, the head of state will not be able to preside the official Independence Day rally on Wednesday in Tucumán province as planned.
The president was diagnosed last Wednesday, which forced her to cancel all official activities.
