Macri says Boudou must appear in Congress, face possible impeachment
Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri urged Vice-President Amado Boudou to appear in Congress and face a possible impeachment over his indictment in the Ciccone corruption case while saying his own indictment over illegal wiretapping is “a very different thing,” according to Noticias Argentinas news agency.
Earlier in the week, Renewal Front’s leader Sergio Massa had criticized Macri over his indictment and compared him to Boudou’s.
“Things must not be going very well for Massa, as he continuously criticises me,” Macri said today during a lunch with businessmen held by the Inter-American Commerce and Production Council, accompanied by economist Carlos Melconian, lawmaker Federico Sturzenegger and Rogelio Frigerio.
The head of Banco Macro Jorge Brito, the head of Argentine Rural Society (SRA) Luis Etchevehere and the head of Argentine Agrarian Federation (FAA) Eduardo Buzzi took part in the meeting, among others.
