Maradona: Pelé and Beckenbauer are idiots

Argentine football idol Diego Maradona launched a stinging attack on fellow legends Pelé and Franz Beckenbauer, after the Brazilian and German ex-players supported the harsh punishment placed on Luís Suárez for biting an opponent.

Diego, who won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986, slammed the pair for defending a nine-game, four month suspension on the Uruguayan handed down by FIFA president Sepp Blatter, who he called ironically a "Capo".

"Those two, who came out of the museum, come out and talk and say stupid things because they are two idiots, they did it most likely because the 'capo' sent them to try and stop the avalance of injustice that the whole world is talking about," he fired.

"These two football personalities came out of the sarcophagus and they were told 'come and talk, defend FIFA because if not this month you will not get paid... I go crazy with these people because they defend the indefendible."

Speaking on Telesur program "De Zurda", Maradona also recalled that "Pelé broke more than one player, he broke four" and that Beckenbauer "hit you with an elbow in the back that killed you."
